Goodbye Adulting: Hello Tokyo DISNEYLAND!

This post is short and sweet, but I had to dedicate a blog to the unreal and magical experience at Tokyo DisneyLand and Tokyo DisneySea! Yes... there are two separate parks that are so big that there is a train you have to take in order to get to the other one. It was such an overwhelming experience. I threw adulting out of the window for the day and allowed myself to be transported into the land of Disney, where anything is possible :)

I started out going to Tokyo Disney Sea and headed straight for Mermaid Lagoon! I LOVE ARIEL. I always have which is not shocking at all given my attachment to the islands and the ocean. She has always been my favorite princess and I was like a five year old buzzing with excitement.  I walked up to the lagoon to find magic! There was this massive coral reef resembling the one Ariel lived in. And to make it even more insane, they were playing the instrumental Little Mermaid soundtrack in the background. I FREAKED OUT!  I went to Ariel's playground which was a replica of the room where she kept all of her treasures and sang "Part of Your World"! I don't even know if I can describe the smile I had on my face. I had never seen anything like it. It was literally a world dedicated to Ariel and I was so there for it. I'd also like to add that there were a lot of young adults there just as excited as I was which made me feel less like a weirdo!

Then I waited 45 minutes in line to meet Ariel (don't judge me). I actually have a picture with Ariel from when I was 5 and was determined on recreating it. She was Gorgeous! and she apologized for Sebastians's lateness and told me that I just missed Flounder because he went to go play with friends. You should've seen me nodding my head like "Yeah gurl! Tell Flounder I'll catch him later!!" ( I didn't want to spoil it for the little girl behind me about to pee her pants in excitement) We took some pictures and I was stoked! I then walked around for about two hours seeing the Pirates of The Caribbean ship, The Finding Nemo Ride, and so much other things!

And then, the adult in me came back for a second, and I found a bar and got myself an ice cold beer. (Leave it to me to find alcohol at DisneyLand) And they let you walk around with it! It was a clashing of worlds, my child self freaking out over Ariel and Nemo with a cocktail in hand. I was WINNING.

After about 3 hours at DisneySea I headed over to DisneyLand to be greeted my Mickie, Minnie, and Goofy! The park was HUGE. and I mean HUGE. Everything was exquisite. From the landscaping, to the giftshops, and uniforms, Tokyo DisneyLand has this sense of fantasy mixed with chic elegance.  The attention to details was flawless.

I wandered up to Cinderellas castle and took a picture with the most adorable little girl! She had just come from the Bippity Boppity Boo boutique (I think that's how you spell that) and was dressed up like Cinderella! The boutique is a small salon that does full and I mean FULL makeovers for little girls to get dressed up just like Cinderella. I mean hair, nails, makeup, shoes, everything! And its only by advanced appointment. THEY WERE SERIOUS. But this little girl was so precious I had to take a photo with her!

I then wandered over to ToonTown, had ice cream, sat in Mickey's front yard, sat in Goofy's backyard, and had the best people watching experience. It was either watching kids fly around with so much energy or them screaming at the top of their lungs because they wanted something they couldn't have. And then I started thinking about the amount of patience that I am going to need to be blessed with to bring my kids here one day. Lord knows He's got some work to do on me.

I WAS EXHAUSTED by the end of the day! To all of the mothers who take their entire families to DisneyLand for vacation, there should be a statue erected in your honor. You deserve all of the freakin medals that can possibly be made. Because when I tell you that my legs felt like they were going to fall off and my eyes were burning from exhaustion, I'm not kidding. And I didn't even have a little kid I had to carry around! (I'm thinking of my dance mamas Mrs. Becky, Becca, and Erin! You all are super heroes)

But needless to say, I had an AMAZING day. I felt like a kid with no worries in the world. And if only was for a couple hours, I felt like I could do anything and actually live happily ever after. That's the magic of Disney <3
